- Subject: Click on as many subjects as you like, or check "All Subjects." Please note that the same document may be listed under more than one subject.
- Document Types: Specify one or more types of documents, or check "Search All Types."
- After you've checked the boxes, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
- If you check a box by mistake, click it again to uncheck it. You can also click "All Subjects" or "Search All Types" twice to clear your selections under these headings, or "Reset" at the bottom of the page to uncheck all boxes.
- If you choose nothing in "Subject" and/or in "Document Types," by default all subjects and/or all document types will be retrieved.
For more search options, click "advanced search" to research publications by title, author, keywords, year, and/or document type.

Advanced Search
Search Tips:
- Enter a keyword or phrase in one or more of the "Search for" boxes.
- If you have entered search terms in more than one box, connect the search statements by using a Boolean operator (AND, OR, NOT) by clicking the option button between the boxes.
- AND narrows the search by combining the terms: nursing AND
home
- OR broadens the search by allowing either term to be found:
nursing OR home
- NOT ensures that certain terms will not appear in the search results:
home NOT nursing
- If you have entered more than one search word per box, click the drop-down arrow next to "All of these" to select how the words entered will be searched.
- "All of these" is equivalent to Boolean AND
- "Any of these" is equivalent to Boolean OR
- "As a phrase" retrieves records containing all of the keywords in the exact order entered-you don't need quotation marks or parentheses
- Select from the drop-down options in the "Search in" box to specify where the search for the keyword or phrase will take place.
- You may limit the search to specific publication dates and reference types.
Additional Tips:
- Use ? with partial words for variant endings: medica? finds
Medicare, Medicaid, medical.
- Enter non-English words in romanized forms (omitting diacriticals).
- Searches are not case sensitive.
After you've entered the search criteria, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page to receive your information. To clear all search criteria, click "Reset."
