About Hawai‘i KIDS COUNT

The goal of Hawai‘i KIDS COUNT is to improve the well-being of Hawai‘i's children and their families by increasing public awareness of their conditions and serving as a catalyst for positive actions on their behalf. Hawai‘i KIDS COUNT:

  • Monitors the well-being of Hawai‘i's children and families by tracking key indicators over time
  • Develops and disseminates data-based reports on Hawai‘i's children and families to the media, legislators, and public- and private-sector leaders
  • Strengthens the constituency for children through information and training
  • Links with the national KIDS COUNT network, which provides access to resources, technical expertise, and knowledge of kids in other states
