Family Resource Network Centers Program

The goal of this program is to pilot a system for establishing community-based family resource network centers (FRNCs) that can link parents and care providers to community programs, resources, and services that promote children's safety, healthy development, and school readiness.

LTG, in partnership with various schools and numerous community agencies, has established FRNCs on O‘ahu, the Big Island, Maui, and Kaua‘i. The FRNCs provide information on a variety of topics that may be of interest to families, including:

  • Caring for young children and adolescents
  • Health and safety
  • Getting ready for school
  • Early learning activities
  • Family financial issues
  • Children with special needs
  • Resources available in the community

Families and community members are encouraged to stop by a FRNC and use the resources provided. Recommendations for ways in which the FRNCs' services can be enhanced are welcomed. FRNCs are located at:
